Farm Manager
An expanding agriculture/tourism business located in Richmond NSW (300 acres of river flats with irrigation) on the banks of the Hawkesbury River, one hour from Sydney CBD.
We are currently seeking an experienced Farm Manager, to join our team of highly motivated, self-starting and enthusiastic people to lead the maintenance of our property comprising of hay production, managed pastures/crops, and gardens. 
You will set the plan for the production of hay, management of pastures/crops, presentation of the property, irrigation and maintenance of all vehicles, implements and specialised turf equipment.
Candidates MUST have:
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • A hands-on and positive work ethic
  • Flexibility in hours and duties to guide and lead the team and the business as needed
  • Proven leadership and ability to set the work plan and manage a team.
  • A successful track record and experience in farm and/or property maintenance. eg operation of all types of tractors and implements can operate a skidsteer (bobcat), tip truck, haymaking equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of agricultural, irrigation and turf maintenance equipment and can diagnose and tend to simple vehicle mechanical maintenance and repairs.
  • Work experience in caring for and managing cattle and/or horses
  • Irrigation - working knowledge and experience in the maintenance and repair of irrigation pumps, lines and related equipment
  • Can fix and mend post and rail and wire fencing (steel fencing and welding a plus)
  • Attention to detail to maintain the property properly, both functionally and aesthetically
  • Work experience and knowledge in the use of chainsaws, mulcher
